Down Syndrome Alliance provides support and resources for families effected by down syndrome.


MICAH House provides safety and shelter to children and families experiencing the crisis of homelessness.

Red Dawgs are a wheelchair basketball team that a part of Nebrasaka Adaptive Sports.  They compete nationally and are just kicka**.

Smart Gen Society provides educational and training resources for teens, parents, and other community stakeholders to protect our kids from online threats.  With the increase in e-learning and hours on the internet their programming is vital.

At Kids Can Community Center, our mission is to educate, engage and inspire children.  Last year, we served over 1,200 kids through early childhood education and out-of-school programs. Our building closed its doors for two weeks in response to COVID-19, but we have re-opened with limited childcare to serve parents working in essential jobs.  As a significant portion of our budget is generated through earned revenue and childcare subsidies, our funding has taken a big hit.

HETRA improves the quality of life, both physically and emotionally, of adults and children of all ability levels through Equine-Assisted Activities. While the virus has caused us to halt in-person programming, it has not stopped the continued care for our 27 therapy horses or virtual outreach to the individuals we serve.

The Hope Center for Kids serves underprivileged children in North Omaha by providing after school and other programs to keep them safe.  During the corona-crisis they are distributing backpacks to kids with meals and healthy snacks.

The Life House provides diapers to mothers who need them and food to all who need it.  Demand for their services has spiked because of the virus and they are working hard to keep up.
